Last Thursday night's succulent arrangement party recap below. I collaborated with Natasha Garoosi of WTF Digital, a newly launched ethical lifestyle publication and held the event in Bushwick at Holyrad Studio, a new photo studio and raw event space. We brought over 30+ succulents to arrange in 12 oz widemouth mason jars and provided rocks, sand and soil for layering decorations.
3 things we learned:
- Although we set up the table perfect for photo ops, it wasn't enough materials to share. We had to constantly replenish the stash. Next time, we'll use large containers for the materials instead.
For such a fun and casual class like this, 2-hour was too long. I think 1.5 hr would work better next time.
- Pricing workshops are always a tough one and I think we overshot this one a tad bit. Considering we have leftover supplies now, I think the next one can be $10-12 cheaper.
That garage door in the space is golden, where else can you find something like this?
